The spirit of Tuscawilla Place is the spirit of Alcoholics Anonymous: forgiveness, patience, and the quiet, stubborn belief that anyone who is genuinely committed to change deserves a real shot at it. That belief is not conditional on what you believe, how many times you have tried, or how far down the road you have gone. Whoever your God is, you are welcome here.

Tuscawilla Place sits on a property that has been shaped around the daily needs of people in recovery. The campus provides completely separate housing for men and women, each side with its own living spaces, common areas, and daily rhythm.
The women’s side of the campus is apartment-style housing. Private living spaces within a managed, accountable environment.
The campus includes kitchen facilities and on-site laundry. There is a meeting space where 18 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held every week. There is a manager who lives and works here full time.
And directly across the street is Tuscawilla Park. Walking trails, fishing, tennis courts, and water views. The kind of setting that reminds you that recovery is about building a life, not just avoiding the wrong one.
At most sober living homes, recovery is something residents have to go find. At Tuscawilla Place, it is built into the campus.
Eighteen Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held on campus every week. Every day of the week, there is a meeting available without leaving the property. No transportation needed. No schedule to coordinate. The meeting is here.
The AA tradition is the backbone of daily life at Tuscawilla Place. The steps, the sponsorship, the fellowship, the accountability of a community of people all working toward the same thing. That tradition is what the walls reflect and what the daily rhythm reinforces.
The spirit of a place is only as real as the people who maintain it. At Tuscawilla Place, that person is Paul.
Paul has been the full-time on-site manager at Tuscawilla Place for more than five years. He lives here. He works here. He is present on the campus every day, not as a contractor who clocks out at five, but as a member of the community who has committed to it.
He oversees the meetings. He runs the house meeting. He administers the testing program. He is the first person a new resident meets on move-in day and the person a family member calls when they have a question.
His presence is one of the things that makes Tuscawilla Place work.
